FLD Missions Trip Recommendations
The Mission's team exists to promote missions in our District and recommend mission's trips that our Youth Groups or individual students could consider.
We want to be a resource to help mobilize and equip the youth in churches for missions. A different breed of missionaries is winning the world for Christ in this millennium. You have a generation of short-term missionaries at your fingertips. More opportunities exist to reach the needy of the world than ever before, and unprecedented numbers of people are answering God's call to the mission field. Will you bring your missionaries to be witnesses in Jerusalem, Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth?

UMF/EventSource Ministry serves to promote biblically sound missionary activities to fulfill the great commission by preaching the gospel, making disciples recruiting and sending forth workers: serving churches, communities, and missionaries. Pastor Kenny May leads local churches into inner cities of Phoenix and San Diego, and the remote towns of the Navajo Indian Missions and Mexico. Through UMF and EventSource Ministry the basic needs of these communities are met through service projects, sports camps, after school programs, scholarships, VBS, and more.

Went with Kenny May to Mexico 2 summers ago. Great resource, good price (gives Free Churches a special rate), former EFCA Youth Pastor so knows ministry. We built houses and met with their youth groups and church. Medical missions, sports camps, etc. are also available. Missions trips are awesome and life changing.

I just returned from Sumpango, Guatemala where we worked with Los Olivos, Guatamala Free Church and partner of FLD District. I would encourage every youth group to find a long term partner and plant roots deeply. After having done 'hit and miss' missions for years, I now see the benefit of going for the purpose of long term relationships.

I think there are many good options for mission's trips. I was especially impressed with the wide range of trips put on by YOUTHWORKS. Their prices were very reasonable, too.
