What is the
COSECHA NETWORK?

The FLD Cosecha Network is a regional network expression of the national Cosecha Network. The goal of the national Cosecha Network is to connect Hispanic leaders and churches for the multiplying of disciples and churches in Hispanic communities across the nation and around the world.

The FLD Cosecha Network also has a unique partnership with the Rio Grande Bible Institute in Texas. Forest Lakes churches have the opportunity provide ministry training internships to Rio Grande students within their local churches.

COSECHA NETWORK?

“FLD Cosecha Network” es una red regional que forma parte de “National Cosecha Network”. El objetivo de “National Cosecha Network” es conectar a los líderes e iglesias hispanas para la multiplicación de discípulos e iglesias en las comunidades hispanas alrededor de la nación y del mundo. 

 “FLD Cosecha Network” cuenta también con una asociación con el Seminario Bíblico Río Grande ubicado en Texas. Las iglesias de Forest Lakes tienen la oportunidad de proporcionar pasantías de capacitación ministerial a los estudiantes de Río Grande dentro de sus iglesias locales.

Mi nombre es Estefania Asas, soy de Ecuador. Recibí el llamado del Señor al ministerio desde temprana edad, pero fue hasta después de terminar mis estudios universitarios que decidí dar el paso de fe y venir a los Estados Unidos a prepararme en el Seminario Bíblico Río Grande en Texas.

Estar en el Seminario fue una experiencia de gran bendición ya que pude conocer diversas culturas y trasfondos hispanos y ver como Dios ha creado cada cultura única y como el evangelio puede ser llevado a cada una de ellas. Terminé mis estudios en mayo 2021 con una licenciatura en Biblia con énfasis misionero.

Mi deseo era servir a la iglesia latina y mis planes eran regresar a Sudamérica, pero Dios me mostró que dentro de los Estados Unidos había mucho pueblo hispano que necesitaba escuchar del evangelio sin romper su cultura. Dios abrió una puerta en Wisconsin y gracias a la asociación de Rio Grande con FLD Cosecha Network la iglesia Fe y su pastor Adrián Rayo me recibieron para poder hacer mi internado. El tiempo en Wisconsin ha sido desafiante, interesante y edificante. Dios está haciendo algo grande en medio de los migrantes hispanos y ser parte de esto es una gran bendición. Aquí hay mucha mies y oro para que Dios siga enviando obreros.

Hello!

My name is Estefanía Asas. I am from Ecuador. I received the call of the Lord to the ministry from an early age but it was when I finished my university studies that I decided to take a step of faith and come to the United States and prepare myself at the Rio Grande Bible Institute in Texas.

Being at the Institute was a blessed experience because I was able to learn about a variety of Hispanic cultures and backgrounds and I was able to see how God had created each unique culture and how the gospel can be brought to each one. I finished my studies in May 2021 with a bachelor's degree in Biblical Studies with an emphasis in missions.

My desire was to serve the Hispanic church and my plans were to return to South America, but God showed me that there are many Hispanics in the United States and they needed to hear the gospel without breaking their culture. God opened a door in Wisconsin and thanks to the association between Rios Grande and “FLD Cosecha Network”, the FE church and Pastor Adrián Rayo welcomed me and I
was able to do my internship. My time in Wisconsin has been challenging, interesting, and uplifting. God is doing something great in the midst of Hispanic immigrants and being a part of that is a great blessing for me. there is a lot of harvest here and I pray God to send workers.
